This Commonwealth Avenue building set out some sacrificial boards to take the brunt of the snow slide to come.
Elsewhere, on the avenue, this stairway was damaged. We passed when emergency crews were pumping water out of the basement.
A few doors away, a banister was taken out by a seriously large icicle.

Meanwhile, over on Newbury Street, we expected this snow formation to be short lived, but it survived for a few days last week.
Ed suggested that maybe we should all be wearing hard hats.
