Poppy Thinks These Are Big Dogs

How does your dog react when you meet up with Boston's Mounted Park Rangers?

And, what is it about these teams that makes us want to take photos of them every time they cross our paths?

This spring, we've been seeing more mounted patrols on the Commonwealth Avenue Mall and we thank the rangers each time they clop by. Poppy hops up on a bench and watches with great interest as the big dogs go by.

The high perch afforded the mounted rangers gives them a long look around the park. And, they are about the best PR tool the Parks Department could have. We see them talking to people, posing for photos, and dealing with those who need to be reminded of park rules.

Thank you to this great asset to the city.
