Each year, we spend a few hours in the fantasy workshop that takes place during The Garden Club of the Back Bay's Wreath Week. If you would like one of the fabulous, fully-decorated wreaths that the talented crew of volunteers produces, you should order it now.
The range of styles and materials used by Garden Club designers to decorate these show-stoppers makes it possible to have your dream wreath with the color scheme or theme you'd like. Or, you can choose to let one of the designers surprise you.
Here's the Official Wreath Store with the order form.
Take a look at a couple of wreaths in progress from our 2010 visit.
You can also order simpler wreaths with one of the Garden Club's trademark bows.
And, they have poinsettia plants to complete your holiday decor. They deliver to Back Bay and Beacon Hill, or you can pick up your wreath at the workshop.
Rather than running an ad in this space today, we ask that you consider supporting the work of The Garden Club of the Back Bay. The money they raise from events like Wreath Week funds projects that are important to Boston's historic neighborhoods and parks. Take a look at their list of projects.
This is a fun group of people who make a difference! Throughout the year, you'll find them on hands and knees cleaning out tree pits, hosting educational events, replanting beds around statues, or making wreaths. Join them at one of their events or just send a check to the same address on the wreath order form to say you think what they do is important.
