It was a very busy weekend, but not so crazy that I didn’t have time to appreciate the scenery. An Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, in all its redness, all but reached out and waved its carbon fiber fenders at me. No, really! It saw me coming and shamelessly flaunted its “supple curves” right there on a Boston street.
I had only read about this Italian supercar and since there were just a few hundred produced and around 80 shipped to the U.S., I never thought I’d see one in the flesh.
While the styling might not be universally applauded, it is a stunning looker with performance to match– top speed said to be just north of 180 mph, 4.2 seconds to 60, and very capable binders.
Just a quick diversion I wanted to share on this June Monday. If you’d like to see the car in action, check out this Motor Week Review.
Back to work everyone!
