We love a great Zeppole di San Giuseppe and today is the traditional day to enjoy one. The one above is from Modern Pastry in the North End. These pastries differ from pastry chef to pastry chef. Just take a look at some of these images.
And, if you want to know more about the history of this pastry, I refer you to one of my favorite food writers, Clifford Wright. I'd rather call him a food scholar. His cookbooks are amazing reference manuals.
