The sign at the Backshore Art Gallery says "Provincetown" to me. It always seems to have some beads left over from Carnival. It sits in a lush garden setting. There's often a Black Lab sitting on the stoop. And, below the sign you'll find a big bowl of water for passing dogs.
The artists from the gallery describe it as:
“I had three chairs in my house; one for solitude, two for friendship, three for society.” - Henry David Thoreau The artists at the Backshore Gallery welcome you to our “house”. We each savor the opportunity to work in solitude. We each treasure friendship. And we each value the encouragement and support of society. We are Peter Clemons, David Forest Thompson, Richard Stimpson, Walter Baranowski, and Tommy Clemons.
One of my beach reads was "So Happy Together." Part of the novel is set in Provincetown so it was fun to read it there. I had the Kindle edition on my Kindle reader.
