Fornax Bread Company has a stand at the Roslindale Farmers' Market. But, should they run out of your favorite bread, you can walk to the bakery about a block away.
Racks of bread bring smiles to both our faces. We both love great artisan bread. Fornax (named after the Roman goddess of the ovens and artisan bread bakers) provided us with a great loaf.
We also liked having a choice in the size of loaf we ordered. Their white bread batard, comes in three sizes, a small bacci for one, a one pound loaf that was perfect for the two of us and a big two pound loaf.
In addition to breads and pastries, Fornax also has a menu of sandwiches, pizzettas, soups, and salads. They can provide you with a perfect take-out lunch to enjoy on a sunny Saturday at the market.
