This year the timing of the Arnold Arboretum Lilacs was just perfect for the annual Lilac Sunday celebration. Knowing how crowded that day can be, we declared Saturday as "Lilac Saturday" for Boston area families with dogs.
Our Miss Maggie Mae (Westie) met up with the Prince (Llasa Apso) from over at the Boomer Chronicles . He and Rhea showed us some of their favorite spots in the Arboretum.
The pups had a great stroll, and we enjoyed adding a face and warm personality to our one of our favorite blogs.
Rhea told us she usually visit the Monday after Lilac Sunday. I think we can say that these blooms and others will be putting on their spectacular show if you visit the Arboretum over the next week or so.
The Arboretum does identify all it's plants but for other parks, hikes and even city strolls, this book might be handy
