I'm often asked to recommend a camera for someone who is starting out in photography or moving up to a more advanced level.
Here are the two cameras I use.
For photo assignments like the Boston Marathon I use the Nikon D200 with a 18-200 zoom lens. The latest version of my camera is this D 300 kit.
I always have a camera with me. You can't catch the great shot unless you have a well designed camera. Right now my "pocket camera" is the Canon Powershot G10.
