Sunday was the perfect day to walk around the city and visit with the Copley Society artists creating art for the group's annual fundraiser, Fresh Paint.
In the photo above three red Copley Society hats are on artists preparing three takes on the same scene.
Nancy Walton in the foreground was depicting that short-lived moment when spring blossoms add a burst of color to the Public Garden.
Across the path, Darryl Loyer celebrated the artistry of the ironworkers who created the entrance gate and the architecture of the buildings on the corner of Arlington and Commonwealth Avenue.
To Nancy's right, Paul Schulenburg takes a moment to chat with visitors to the event before going back to work on his painting of a fountain sculpture. His initial work on this subject is shown above.
This week you can visit the Copley Society Gallery and place silent bids on these and dozens of other works of art created yesterday. Next Saturday, all the works will be sold at a gala black tie event.
