This week's "BostonZest Sunday Dog" photo was taken by contributor Mick Timony.

This is Sandy. Mick says, "She's a 12 year old greyhound, and she was curled up on her bed in the Adriondacks. :)"
Most of the year, Sandy can be found strutting her stuff in the Back Bay and Public Garden.
Sandy is famous among her fellow greyhounds. She once climbed a tree to grab a pesky, teasing squirrel.
Quick action by her human companion saved the critter. But, Sandy has a secret smile that crosses her face whenever she thinks of her moment of triumph.
Sandy's a rescued greyhound. I know, if she could speak, she'd have a special request for our readers. Please register before October 15th, so that you can vote "YES" on ballot question #3.
Here's a link to the details of this ballot question:

Here's the explanation of a "Yes" vote from the official Commonwealth of Massachusetts site:
"A YES VOTE would prohibit dog races on which betting or wagering occurs, effective January 1, 2010."

He's a fine photographer with a wonderful eye for capturing special moments to share with the rest of us. We'll feature more of his work on BostonZest in the future.
