To keep your New Year's resolutions, just make ones that will make you very happy.
Last year Ed and I resolved to drink more sparkling wine. We spent the year tasting and enjoying bubbles at all price levels. It was a very good year!
Now, with New Year's Eve just days away, we had to decide what sparkler we wanted to invite to our year end celebration. The winner is Champagne Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé.
This lovely wine (at $100) is a splurge. On the other hand, 2007 saw many inexpensive wine bottles in our recycling bin. We drank $9.99 Cavas, $14.99 Proseccos, and $6.99 Trader Joe specials.
In the months ahead, we'll tell you about our favorite special values as we pop the corks! We've decided to repeat our "drink more sparkling wine" resolution in 2008!
