The weather gods were blissfully smiling on Boston this weekend, and we took advantage of each day, beginning Friday.
It was clearly a day for a leisurely walk to Coppa in the South End. Ed has already raved about the food and service at this perfect stop to spend a Friday afternoon. Here's his piece, Friday Lunch At Coppa, an Italian Seduction.
I'll just add that it is a place that helps me relax when I want to step down the pace for a few days. The menu, the staff, and the atmosphere make you feel as if you are getting away from Boston to a locale that moves at a slower, friendlier speed.
And, I always find so many things that I want to photograph for myself rather than for an assignment. Like this bowl of citrus amid the cocktail glasses below and the salami with the pig chart above.
More on where our happy feet took us, later this week.
Are you ready to begin enjoying the art of salumi outside of sandwiches? You can learn more about cured meats and the traditions behind them in these books.
