With the demise of Harvard Square's beloved Out of Town Newspaper Stand, where will Boston area readers find copies of out of town newspapers?
The small selection to the left was near the checkout counter at the Border's Store on Boylston Street in the Back Bay. I've also seen newspapers at their Downtown crossing branch.
Major hotels around the city are another place to look. Most have news stands. They might have the demand to support a better selection of newspapers than your local CVS.
You can do your reading for free by visiting the Newspaper Room at the Boston Public Library in Copley Square. Here's a link to the information about which papers they carry.

If a foreign language paper is your choice, you may be able to find it where you buy that country's food specialties. I notice newspapers, magazines, and videos for sale in Asian groceries, Indian markets and Eastern European specialty stores.
The Boston Athenaeum has a newspaper reading room that opens early each morning to accommodate members who like to begin their day with a cross section of news from around the nation and world. One of the benefits of membership in this private library is not needing to subscribe to all the materials that interest you. With the rising price of newspaper and magazine subscriptions, joining the Boston Athenaeum could be a bargain for an avid reader.
