Walking down an aisle at Whole Foods, I looked up and saw jars of Deborah's Kitchen Spreadable Fruit with a line of "Buy Local" tags under the shelf price labels.
It was like running into Deborah's smiling face at the Copley Farmers' Market.
I grabbed a jar of Pear Lime Limbo and smiled a big smile because this market friend had made it into a major store. Besides, now I would have easy access to her products before next spring.
A couple of aisles away, I spotted another Copley Market friend in the cheese case.
Crystal Brook Farm Goat cheese was right there and in front was a photo of the face I saw at the market all summer.
Farm owner, Ann Starbard was smiling at me from another "Buy Local" sign.
