This Post is from 2008.
We have a new post with the latest information on Flu shots in Boston for the 2011-2012 flu season.
Updated 2/6/09- Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is an easy place to get a flu shot if you ride the MBTA's red line.
They have a well-organized flu vaccine clinic just steps inside the main entrance across from the Medical Walk-In unit.
Update: The flu shot service has moved inside the Walk-in Medical Unit. We called on February 6, 2009 and they were still giving flu shots.
The vaccine station is staffed seven days a week – Monday through Friday from 9 am to 7 pm and weekends 9:30 am to 4 pm.
They'll be providing shots to anyone age 18 and older through the end of the year.
The cost is $25 and MGH asks that you "check with your insurance company regarding coverage for vaccines."
If you're registered with MGH, bring your blue MGH card. If you're not registered you can do that by phone before your visit by calling 1-866-211-6588.
A quick hop off the Red line on your way in or out of Boston could be your answer to finding the time and place for a flu shot.
For information on finding flu shots elsewhere in the area, see our early entry on the topic. We are updating that entry as we find new information. Our last update to the post at the link below was on 2/6/09.
