Mums The Word & Fresh Baked Fun on Sunday

Img_6917_version_2_1Mums are popping up all over town. For a great value, consider picking up your fall plants at your local farmers' market.

Will Gilson from Gilson's Herbs and the Herb Lyceum will set up with a perfect plant ready to burst into full flower. He'll pack it in a carry bag to help you get it home safely. And, if you need more help, he'll even talk about deliveries in the area surrounding each of the markets he attends. (see details below)

After posing for this photo, Will also told me about the "Fresh Baked" Event at the South End Open Market this Sunday.

We've been meaning to get to this market, and this may be the weekend to do it.

On the market site they say, "Open this Sunday from 10am - 5pm for Baked Fresh! An indie music, art, and design festival. featuring 4 live bands and over 125 vendors! The Market is then open every Sunday thereafter through October 26th from 10AM - 4PM."

Details:

Gilson's 368 Main Street (Rte 119 West)
Groton, MA 01450

They at the following markets during the week

  • Sunday - SOWA Open Market, Boston South End
  • Monday- Central Square, Cambridge
  • Tuesday- Harvard University, Cambridge & Copley Square, Boston
  • Wednesday - Davis Square, Somerville
  • Thursday - Belmont
  • Friday- Copley Square, Boston
  • Saturday, Union Square, Somerville
