We have a new post with the latest information on Flu shots in Boston for the 2011-2012 flu season.
The flu vaccine is already on hand and clinics are being scheduled throughout the Boston area. This post was updated: 2/6/09- see new information below.

While at my doctor's office for a minor injury yesterday, they offered to give me my flu shot. That's one more chore checked off my "things to do" list.
In past years, finding flu shots has been a bit of a chore. A couple of times I had to go to Massachusetts General Hospital to get my shot. This year's quick supply of vaccine was a pleasant surprise.
For those who don't have reason to visit their doctor, CVS is at the top of the "Google Search" for flu shot clinics. I called my local store and was quickly given the date and time of the next one. Other CVS pharmacies should have a schedule of their flu shot clinics. I recommend you speak with the pharmacy for information. A link is below to reach the flu page on the CVS site.
Walgreens and Riteaid each have a page dedicated to flu on their sites. Each has links that let you find the details for the next clinic near you online. Those links are also in details below.
Naturally, all three businesses charge for flu shots. The link to the Center for Disease control is below. It should be consulted for links to other flu shot resources. Their "locate a clinic link" is serviced by the American Lung Association and doesn't have any Boston area clinic search results at this time.
Update: 2/6/09- We have found an Flu shot clinic search site that is working very well and comes from a reliable and trustworthy source. MASSPRO.org. This site is still working but there are few clinics scheduled. They say, "Founded by the Massachusetts Medical Society, which publishes the New England Journal of Medicine, Masspro transforms healthcare through developing and disseminating innovative solutions across all sectors of the healthcare delivery system." One of those solutions is a flu clinic search system that seems to be up-to-date and includes some free clinics.
